SMEs demand consequences to end inability to act.
Almost 90 percent of SMEs have lost confidence in the German government. These are the findings of an instant survey conducted by BVMW. 77.74 percent of respondents called for new elections to end the “traffic light” government’s impotence.
Christoph Ahlhaus, managing director of the federal Der Mittelstand, said: “The results of the survey are extremely damaging and show that the government has lost the support of small and medium-sized enterprises due to bickering and stagnation.” According to Ahlhaus, the prime minister is running out of time to demonstrate through leadership that he can bring the government back on track.
“The atmosphere in our country has changed. The time is now ripe for a decision. If coalition leaders cannot agree on the Lindner document on Wednesday, then the FDP must put an end to the “traffic light” tragedy.
Within two hours, 1,500 small and medium-sized entrepreneurs responded to the BVMW instant survey.
