Meng Xiangdong, chairman of the China Council For the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shandong Sub-counil, met with Andreas Yang, Vice President of the BVMW and his delegation in Jinan, capital of China, Sept 22, 2015.
Meng Xiangdong welcomed the visit of Vice President Andreas Yang and his delegation. He introduced the economic development of Shandong Province and the cooperation between Shandong CCPIT and Germany in recent years, and said that Shandong CCPIT, as the largest trade and investment promotion institution in Shandong Province, was willing to work with the BVMW to strengthen communication and expand channels, and make contributions to practical cooperation between the two sides.
Vice President Andreas Yang introduced the establishment and development of the BVMW. He said that the purpose of this visit was to promote the establishment of the federation’s Shandong representative office, so as to strengthen the cooperative relationship with Shandong province, and look forward to working with CCPIT Shandong to build a platform for the enterprises of both sides and jointly promote the cooperation between the two sides in various fields.
At the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation, reached a cooperative intention on jointly promoting the establishment of the Shandong representative office of the BVMW, and carried out in-depth discussions on the next specific work.
The BVMW is one of the largest representative organizations of smes in Germany and plays an important role in the German business ecosystem, with about 960,000 members.
Vice President He Zhongjun accompanied the meeting, and representatives from the Ministry of Development and Research and the Trade and Investment Service Center attended. Also visiting were Friedmann Hofiger, President of the Regional Association of the BVMW, Liu Yin, Chief Representative of BVMW Shandong, Wolfgang Bond, General manager of MIG Innovation Technology Co., LTD., and Ferdinand Franz, general manager of Avripele LLC.
