On July 3, a delegation from the BVMW Representative Office in Shandong, China visited the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce for Wenzhou Entrepreneurs Investment. The delegation held economic and trade discussions with Ye Fangquan, Former President Zhan Yuanwu, Wenzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Wenzhou Chamber of International Commerce), and Li Liangjiang, Person-in-Charge of the International Liaison Department of CCPIT Wenzhou, to jointly explore new paths for Sino-German cooperation among small and medium-sized enterprises.

During the forum, President Ye Fangquan elaborated on Wenzhou’s industrial characteristics and overseas development demands. He stated that known as the “Hometown of Auto and Motorcycle Parts in China”, Wenzhou boasts a solid industrial foundation and a complete supply chain. In recent years, emerging industries including new energy and energy storage have achieved vigorous development, which are highly compatible with Germany’s advantageous industries and present enormous cooperation potential for both sides.

President Ye spoke highly of the BVMW Frankfurt Exhibition Hall project. He proposed recommending outstanding Wenzhou enterprises to settle in the exhibition hall, enabling local enterprises to quickly access the European market via Germany’s local professional platform.
The forum gathered government and enterprise representatives from multiple sectors to facilitate resource sharing and in-depth idea exchange. Li Liangjiang from Wenzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade noted that the institution has abundant foreign economic and trade resources and international docking channels. He expressed the hope that the BVMW Shandong could deepen all-round and multi-field strategic cooperation with Wenzhou CCPIT, build a regular Sino-German economic and trade docking platform, and empower the international development of Wenzhou enterprises.

Liu Shengqiang, Person-in-Charge of the Preparatory Office of the Wenzhou Business Overseas Development Research Association, introduced that the team is actively building the “Wenzhou Business Overseas Development Platform”. Centering on core demands of Wenzhou enterprises for overseas market expansion, brand globalization and cross-border cooperation, the platform will carry out in-depth linkage and collaborative cooperation with BVMW Shandong following this exchange, building a new empowering carrier for Wenzhou enterprises to explore Germany and the broader European market.

Liu Yin, Chief Representative of BVMW Shandong, remarked that Wenzhou features strong enterprise strength and robust willingness for overseas expansion, together with high-quality government and institutional platform resources, creating broad space for Sino-German cooperation. Moving forward, BVMW will give full play to Germany’s local industrial resource advantages, cooperate with Wenzhou CCPIT, the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce for Wenzhou Entrepreneurs Investment, and the Wenzhou Business Overseas Development Platform, provide comprehensive support for Wenzhou enterprises’ overseas expansion, and accelerate the implementation of more pragmatic cooperation projects.

This exchange has laid a solid foundation for deepening bilateral cooperation. After the forum, the BVMW Shandong delegation paid a field visit toWenzhou Yizheng Lighter Co., Ltd.. The team conducted in-depth exchanges with the company’s person-in-charge Mr. Xie and visited the enterprise’s sample exhibition hall. Both sides had detailed discussions on the enterprise’s core product features, overseas market adaptability, European channel development and global brand layout, accurately docking the enterprise’s overseas development needs and consolidating the foundation for local featured products to enter the German and European markets.

In the next stage, BVMW Shandong will continue to connect with high-quality enterprises and institutions in Wenzhou, support Wenzhou businesses in exploring and rooting in the German and European markets, and promote two-way empowerment and win-win development for small and medium-sized enterprises in China and Germany.
