On September 8, 2025, the Marine Cooperation and Development Forum was held in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao. Liu Yin, Chief Representative of the German Federal Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (BVMW) Shandong Representative Office, introduced to Xin Huanghe reporters that the event participated in was named "Future Day." She emphasized that the core objective of this conference was to promote precise matchmaking between Chinese and German enterprises. Unlike the broad networking typical of traditional exhibitions, this conference employed a pre-match mechanism to help companies identify suitable partners in advance, achieving efficient connections.
Regarding post-conference cooperation between Chinese and German SMEs in Shandong's marine industry, Liu Yin revealed that preliminary efforts had already been made in collaboration with the Shandong Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Qingdao Municipal Government to connect German enterprises with marine industry companies in Shandong Province, particularly in Qingdao, and to complete initial online communications. The afternoon seminar on the day of the conference further served as a face-to-face platform for direct business negotiations and cooperation planning. She anticipated that, with normal progress, results could be seen within three to six months.
"I believe the prospects for future cooperation between Qingdao and German SMEs are broad, which is why we organized a sizable team to attend this conference," Liu Yin stated. She introduced that a total of 26 overseas guests had been invited, including over 20 German delegates and representatives from countries such as Italy and Russia. Notably, many logistics companies participated specifically for on-site matchmaking with Qingdao enterprises.
In closing, Liu Yin highly praised the event, stating, "The organization was quite successful, with all arrangements orderly." She also commended the citizens of Qingdao, describing them as enthusiastic and patient, and the city as clean and beautiful, leaving a deep impression on all participants.
